This wharf is not just a scenic landmark but is the hallowed ground where the village earned its reputation: it served as the original site for the weigh-ins and departures of the prestigious International Tuna Cup Match, which began in 1937 and drew anglers and celebrities from around the globe to compete for the Sharp Cup.
